Joanne Gouaux is Director of Social Impact for USA for UNHCR’s gift-in-kind program, based in New York. Joanne drives collective impact through cross-sector humanitarian alliances. Collaborating with NGO and corporate partners, she leads emergency resource mobilization from USA for UNHCR to support the institutional capacity of UNHCR in global emergencies. To date, the program has mobilized over $200 million in goods and services designed to support forcibly displaced and stateless persons with culturally appropriate items to meet their basic needs. In protracted crises and emergencies, Joanne ensures in-kind contributions are aligned with good health, dignity, safety and well-being of refugees.
