Senior Manager, Product Donations & Engagement at Merck

Maria Verbanac is the Senior Manager, Product Donations & Engagement at Merck. She is responsible for managing Merck’s Medical Outreach Program (MMOP), the company’s primary platform to donate its pharmaceuticals and vaccines for humanitarian aid in the developing world and in support of disaster relief and emergency response worldwide.

She was formerly a PQMD representative for the Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB), where she served as Manager, Pharmaceutical Engagement and managed the organization’s relationships with pharmaceutical and medical supply corporate partners. Prior to her work in the global health field, she worked in Washington, DC for several advocacy and public policy organizations.

Maria holds a B.A. in Politics and Journalism from New York University and a M.A. in International Relations from Durham University in England.
